State of the art and future directions of ART
Jean-François Delfraissy, MD, France
Dr. Delfraissy is Director of the ANRS. He is also Professor of Clinical Immunology and Internal Medicine at Paris-Sud University and Chair of the Internal Medicine Department at Bicêtre Hospital, Kremlin-Bicêtre, Paris, France. He also serves as a specialist in internal medicine and clinical immunology for Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, France.
Dr. Delfraissy was formerly a member of the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and is currently on the Scientific Board of the French National Institute for Research on AIDS (ANRS). He also served on ANRS Boards on Vaccines and Virology and as Chair of ANRS’ Action Coordonnée No. 5. He is actively involved in therapeutic trials for HIV patients in France. Since 1999, Dr. Delfraissy has chaired the French Expert Group on Guidelines for Treatment of HIV Infected Patients and, in 2004, he served as a member of the expert task force that developed the UNAIDS antiretroviral treatment guidelines. Dr. Delfraissy has published over 240 original manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and is currently Principal Investigator of two on-going research projects.
